Job Description

Our client is a major manufacturer of wind turbines and other green energy solutions.

They are searching for multiple experienced Wind Turbine (WTG) Mechanical Construction Engineers to support the mechanical installation and construction of wind energy projects. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, site engineers, contractors, turbine technicians, and construction teams to ensure wind turbine systems are installed safely, efficiently, and according to engineering and OEM specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in mechanical construction activities within wind turbine, heavy industrial, and/or large infrastructure projects.

Please note that this role requires significant travel and a willingness to work in remote project sites. It is not necessarily based in the city of this posting.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction activities related to wind turbine installation and erection.

  • Support installation activities including tower assembly, nacelle installation, hub assembly, blade installation, and mechanical alignment.

  • Review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and installation procedures prior to execution.

  • Ensure all mechanical construction activities comply with engineering standards, OEM requirements, quality standards, and HSE regulations.

  • Coordinate heavy lifting and crane activities associated with wind turbine erection and mechanical installation.

  • Conduct inspections and quality checks during installation activities to ensure proper assembly and workmanship.

  • Identify and resolve mechanical or construction-related issues that arise during project execution.

  • Support commissioning teams by ensuring mechanical systems are properly installed and ready for testing and energization.

  • Monitor project schedules, installation progress, and contractor performance to minimize delays and rework.

  • Maintain accurate construction records, inspection reports, punch lists, and site documentation.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve installation efficiency, safety, and construction quality.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical construction, wind turbine installation, heavy industrial, and/or infrastructure projects.

  • Previous experience supporting wind turbine erection, mechanical installation, and construction activities.

  • Deep understanding of wind turbine mechanical systems and installation processes.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and construction documentation.

  • Familiarity with heavy lifting operations, crane coordination, and mechanical assembly procedures is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements and safe working practices in construction environments.

  • Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites or rotational schedules when required.
  • Fluency in local language, and decent working proficiency in English is REQUIRED. Other languages will be a bonus.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
