Job Description

Our client is a major manufacturer of wind turbines and other green energy solutions.

They are searching for multiple experienced Wind Turbine (WTG) Electrical Construction Engineers to support the electrical installation and construction of wind energy projects. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, site engineers, contractors, commissioning teams, and turbine technicians to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and according to engineering and OEM specifications. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on experience in electrical construction activities within wind turbine, renewable energy, and/or heavy industrial projects.

Please note that this role requires significant travel and a willingness to work in remote project sites. It is not necessarily based in the city of this posting.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical construction activities related to wind turbine installation and commissioning.

  • Support installation activities including LV/HV cabling, switchgear, transformers, grounding systems, control panels, and turbine electrical connections.

  • Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, method statements, and installation procedures prior to execution.

  • Ensure all electrical construction activities comply with engineering standards, OEM requirements, quality standards, and HSE regulations.

  • Coordinate cable routing, cable termination, testing activities, and electrical system integration.

  • Conduct inspections and quality checks during electrical installation activities to ensure compliance and workmanship standards.

  • Identify and resolve electrical or construction-related issues during project execution and commissioning phases.

  • Support pre-commissioning, energization, and commissioning activities for wind turbine electrical systems.

  • Monitor project schedules, installation progress, and contractor performance to minimize delays and rework.

  • Maintain accurate construction records, testing reports, punch lists, and site documentation.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve installation efficiency, safety, and electrical system reliability.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical construction, wind turbine installation, renewable energy, and/or heavy industrial projects.

  • Hands-on experience supporting wind turbine electrical installation, commissioning, and construction activities.
  • Firm understanding of electrical systems including LV/HV systems, transformers, switchgear, grounding, and power distribution.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and construction documentation.

  • Familiarity with cable installation, termination, testing, and energization procedures.

  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements and safe working practices in industrial and construction environments.

  • Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites or rotational schedules when required.
  • Fluency in local language, and decent working proficiency in English is REQUIRED. Other languages will be a bonus.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
