
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Wind Farm Construction Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient delivery of utility-scale wind energy construction projects across Quebec, with the initial project in the Gaspé Peninsula. This role is responsible for coordinating site construction activities, supervising construction workforce ensuring compliance with client and project specifications, and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental performance. A valid RBQ (Régie du bâtiment du Québec) licence is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise all on-site wind farm construction activities, including electrical infrastructure, and turbine installation support.
• Coordinate daily activities of GEV site personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Monitor construction progress and resolve technical or operational issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with Quebec building regulations, project specifications, environmental requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Conduct daily safety briefings, site inspections, and toolbox talks while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Review and approve client work plans, permits, inspections, and quality documentation.
• Liaise with client and stakeholder project managers, engineers, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and construction documentation.
• Support commissioning activities and project handover.
Essential Qualifications
• Valid RBQ (Régie du bâtiment du Québec) licence (mandatory).
• Proven experience supervising utility-scale wind farm or large renewable energy construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and electrical construction activities associated with wind farms.
• Excellent understanding of Quebec construction regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Demonstrated leadership, planning, and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Quebec.
Preferred Qualifications
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Health and safety certifications (e.g., GWO, CSTS, Working at Heights, First Aid/CPR).
• Experience managing multiple construction teams on large infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Bilingual in French and English (preferred).
