We are looking for a Wind and PV Resource Technician to work for our Southeast Asia operations based out of our offices in Manila. The mission of this role is to provide support and technical inputs to the work of the Engineering & Construction and Development teams including Wind and PV data analysis and Wind Farm site prospecting and support in the preliminary design of PV plants.

This position will report directly to the Engineering and Bids Manager in Manila.

• Responsible for the planning and implementation of meteorological data measurement campaigns.
• Responsible for the configuration and selection of all the meteorological sensors and data loggers
• Overseeing installation and start up, on-site validation, of the meteorological sensors and data loggers
• Follow-up of the meteorological stations’ maintenance subcontractors both from the office and in the field
• Responsible for ongoing data collection and quality assurance of meteorological data series.
• Incident detection, fault analysis, and management of the necessary solutions with the various departments (Engineering, Procurement, Quality Safety and Environmental (QSE), Business development, and Finance).
• Capabilities in field work to collect all the necessary information related to incidences in the meteorological sensors, data loggers and power supply system.
• Overseeing installation, on-site validation, maintenance and decommissioning of Remote Sensors Devices (including LiDAR and SODAR units). Responsible for start-to-finish works including liaising with Contractors, performing field visits, inspections, data collection, analysis, and quality control for the Remote Sensors Devices
• Support the Project Management in the coordination of works related to meteorological stations installations and maintenances.
• Knowledge of procedures of installation & maintenance of meteorological instrumentation.
• Management and knowledge of meteorological sensors.
• Support on information gathering and organization, in the field and desktop, in coordination with Wind Resource department Headquarters and Project management for technical development of projects.
• Ensuring compliance with ACCIONA Energia Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with ACCIONA Energia policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Graduate with a technical diploma/ degree (preferably engineering or physical science) as a minimum.
• Must be proficient with MS-Office programs, including Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint.
• Capabilities with drafting and mapping software preferred: MapInfo, ESRI ArcGIS, Arc Pad, Trimble GPS, Google Earth.
• Knowledge and experience with databases.
• Proficient in English
• Minimum 2 years exeprience in the Energy sector
• Good undestanding of renewable energy projects
• Willingness and ability to travel within Southeast Countries where ACCIONA has its activities
