The Wilderness Program Director is responsible for directing and supervising camp programs and providing direction and leadership for the summer staff. The Program Director should focus on three main elements – God, Safety, Fun. The Program Director is tasked with implementing the mission and vision of camp.
Essential Functions
Working Conditions
May be asked to use fire protection equipment, washers and dryers, special programs and recreational equipment. May be asked to drive camp vehicles or golf carts. Should be proficient in computer skills and word processing. Individual should be comfortable being active throughout the day. This can include standing for periods of time, light lifting (up to 50 lbs), walking around camp, and participating in outdoor activities like hiking or basic climbing. The role also involves using hands-on skills for camp equipment and activities, along with typical hearing and vision abilities needed to help supervise and support campers. Camp life exists within nature and is an overnight program. Leaders live on site, work a full day schedule, and work with simple but comfortable facilities. Days often include sun, warm weather, and occasional encounters with typical outdoor wildlife.
PAY RATE: $500/week
