Make a difference in your community as a WIC Dietitian! In this role, you’ll provide nutrition assessments, counseling, and education to WIC participants of all ages. You’ll ensure families receive the support, resources, and benefits they need while promoting health, wellness, and a positive customer experience in every interaction.
What You’ll Do
Assess eligibility through medical history, dietary intake, and lab data.
Provide participant-centered nutrition counseling and education.
Prescribe and issue WIC food benefits based on individual needs.
Refer participants to local health and social service resources.
Maintain participant records, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries.
Support outreach events to promote WIC and community health awareness.
Collaborate with the WIC team to ensure efficient clinic operations and a welcoming environment.
Assist with training new staff and uphold program and compliance standards.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from an ADA-approved institution.
Registered with the American Dietetic Association within 6 months of hire (registry eligible status required).
Licensed in Missouri within 6 months of hire.
Strong verbal communication skills to interview clients and explain nutrition care plans.
Proficient computer skills (word processing and data entry).
Clear and concise written and oral communication abilities.
Comfortable presenting to small and large groups.
Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff.
Ability to drive to corporate and community facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years’ experience in community nutrition.
Bilingual competency preferred.
