In this influential role, you will help shape and strengthen our approach to workplace health, safety and wellbeing. Providing trusted, proactive, practical and evidence-based advice across our organisation, you will share your knowledge and experience to build WHS capability, partnering with leaders and employees to foster a culture where safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement are embedded in everyday practice.

You will support the ongoing enhancement of our WHS, risk management and wellbeing systems, ensuring legislative compliance and the effective management of both physical and psychological health and safety risks.

Working proactively across our organisation with key stakeholders, you will use incident data, risk assessments, workplace insights and emerging trends to identify emerging risks, areas of concern and drive practical solutions. You will also provide support across incident management, risk mitigation, early intervention, wellbeing programs and support the development and implementation of WHS policies, frameworks, training and initiatives.

The experience we are looking for...

To be successful in our position you will have:

• Demonstrated knowledge in the fields of workplace health, safety and wellbeing, and risk management.
• Experience using and administering WHS, IM or related systems, and managing and using data base systems, eg SIMS, Safety Learning System, Microsoft office.
• Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety Act, and relevant aspects of other Acts, Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and employment law.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, provide excellent customer service, and foster the cooperation and support of others.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement, quality and compliance.
• Broad understanding of, or the ability to quickly learn about, public administration, Government, Legislative and/or Parliamentary processes.

The Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) delivers the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) which funds necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for people who sustain serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident on South Australian roads, regardless of fault.

Position Conditions: Full-time Fixed-term Opportunity Until June 2028. Requests for Part-time will be considered.

Remuneration: ASO5 ($92,122 - $102,456) + Superannuation.

Special Conditions: Appointment will be subject to the provision of a satisfactory National Police Check (NPC) that is no more than six months old.
