While the role is based at our Central Office in Woden, it requires regular work across all CSCC venues to support inspections, investigations, consultation, and on-the-ground safety initiatives.

You will work collaboratively with the Executive Team, Venue Managers, Health and Safety Representatives, and employees to embed a proactive and ethical approach to work health and safety.

  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready WHS documentation

Incident and injury management

  • Coordinate incident, injury, and near-miss reporting and investigations
  • Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions
  • Assist with workers' compensation and return-to-work processes

Training, engagement, and consultation

  • Support WHS inductions, training programs, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives
  • Provide guidance to Venue Managers and Health and Safety Representatives
  • Support effective consultation through WHS committees and engagement activities

Reporting and continuous improvement

  • Prepare WHS reports, dashboards, and trend analysis for management and governance forums
  • Monitor legislative changes and support implementation across CSCC
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and WHS projects

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a WHS advisory or coordination role
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of Work Health and Safety experience is required
  • Sound knowledge of ACT WHS legislation and risk management principles
  • Experience supporting incident investigations and WHS reporting

Desirable

  • Experience in a complex or multi-site organisation
  • Experience working with safety management systems and WHS software
