Job Description

The Sales Assistant provides day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Sales Team, helping ensure the seamless execution of wholesale business, showroom operations, and seasonal markets. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in wholesale sales, merchandising, or account management within the luxury fashion industry.

The Sales Assistant is responsible for processing sales orders, supporting showroom and market activities, maintaining accurate product and pricing information, and assisting with reporting and cross-functional communication. This position also plays a key role in supporting Sales Market Weeks (4x annually), contributing to both pre-market preparation and market execution.

Responsibilities:
Order Management & Sales Operations
  • Enter and process wholesale sales orders in BlueCherry and/or NuOrder.
  • Maintain order accuracy by preparing and sending order confirmations to clients and internal partners.
  • Monitor and follow up on special orders, outstanding requests, and order discrepancies.
  • Verify stock orders and communicate inventory updates as needed.
  • Process customer returns, exchanges, and account adjustments.
  • Support ongoing wholesale account maintenance and order management.
Showroom & Market Support
  • Support the Sales Team during seasonal Market Weeks (four times annually).
  • Assist with market preparation, including organizing and maintaining linesheets and selling materials.
  • Coordinate showroom appointments and manage the showroom calendar.
  • Prepare the showroom for client appointments, including sample organization and merchandising.
  • Assist with model dressing and showroom support during market appointments.
  • Provide post-market support, including order confirmation follow-up and showroom organization.
  • Maintain showroom samples by organizing, packing, unpacking, and tracking inventory.
Sales Tools & Product Support
  • Maintain product information and seasonal assortments in JOOR and NuOrder.
  • Assist in creating and updating wholesale selling tools, including PowerPoint presentations, buy books, and product guides.
  • Provide product copy, styling information, and supporting materials to wholesale partners.
  • Support trunk show and event preparation as needed.
Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
  • Conduct regular website audits to ensure product information and imagery are accurate.
  • Respond to image requests and provide day-to-day support to the Sales Team.
  • Assist with event planning and sales initiatives as needed.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely communication and execution.
  • Perform additional administrative and operational duties to support the wholesale business.
Desired Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in wholesale, retail, fashion, showroom operations, sales support, or a customer-facing environment.
  • Luxury fashion or apparel industry experience is preferred.
Skills

  • Experience with BlueCherry, JOOR, NuOrder, or similar wholesale management systems is a plus.
Base Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 – $55,000 Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, and location.
