Role Purpose

Responsible for the entire lifecycle of the wholesale roaming & IDD relationships in order to contribute to the delivery of the Vodafone Egypt’s wholesale synergy effect target and assigned wholesale budget responsibility.

Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership

Roaming wholesale

  • Develop and execute the annual wholesale roaming strategy, roadmap, and design, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives, growth targets.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of global roaming market trends, competitor activities, Inter-Operator Tariff (IOT) benchmarks, and new technology adoption to identify new business opportunities and risks.
  • Assist in the Contract management process to grantee Vodafone Egypt rights & liabilities
  • End-to-end ownership of IOT (Inter-Operator Tariff) negotiations. This includes designing the "Commitment vs. Discount" structures that were previously handled by VRS and get more gain for Vodafone Egypt commercial team
  • Responsible for the visitors and Roaming settlements with partners

International direct dialling (IDD)

  • Define the commercial negotiation strategy for all partners, focusing on discount agreements and volume commitments to secure high-value inbound traffic and prevent leakage to competitors.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on competitive inbound pricing, local market share of inbound international calls, and regulatory developments to maintain a leading competitive advantage
  • Continuously monitor international incoming traffic, performance, and key metrics (traffic, pay back discounts) for all partners, implementing corrective actions or re-negotiations where performance deviates from targets.
  • Contract management to grantee Vodafone Egypt rights & liabilities
  • Oversee the financial clearing and settlement process with partners. Act as the commercial lead in liaising with partners and the Finance team for the timely and accurate resolution of commercial disputes

Operational Functions

  • Own and Manage Budget building / reviewing and submitting
  • Work closely with finance teams (decision support / finance operations teams)
  • Enhance our Automation milestones for all traffic monitoring
  • Continuously monitor roaming traffic and taking steering action either to reduce costs or manage outbound commitments costs

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • 1-3 experience in Commercial
  • Very strong statistical Analysis background.
  • Structured approach to gathering and representing data
  • Experience and background in a complex multi business environment essential
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Business specification and detailed design documentation.
  • In depth knowledge of key, internal Business processes of mobile telecommunications operations
