About the job:
Key Responsibilities
Analyze the creditworthiness of counterparties and financial institutions to determine appropriate risk exposure
Prepare and review credit proposals, supporting transaction approvals and ongoing client assessment
Monitor credit risk across portfolios, identifying emerging risks and ensuring exposures remain within limits
Assess risks related to financial products, including complex and derivative transactions
Conduct ongoing due diligence on existing and prospective clients, tracking market and industry developments
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate credit ratings and limits
Collaborate with front office and support functions to support timely deal execution and effective risk mitigation
Produce regular risk reports and respond to ad hoc credit and analysis requests
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk, counterparty risk, or financial analysis (experience with financial institutions is a plus)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and risk metrics
Good understanding of financial markets and products, including derivatives (preferred), as well as trading documentations (ISDA/CSA/GMRA/GMSLA)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Language & Other Skills
Fluency in written and spoken English and one other major Asian language (Chinese/Korean/Japanese). Knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage.
Experience with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ; programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA) are an advantage
