As an Executive Director in Wholesale Credit Risk Administration for, you will lead the Investment Banking Credit Corporates and Financial Institutions Credit Risk Administration team. You will be responsible for defining and evolving the end to end administrative framework that underpins credit risk execution across governance, data, documentation, and process design. You will partner closely with senior Credit Risk leadership and key stakeholders to strengthen controls, improve scalability, and enable efficient, technology driven delivery. You will operate across a complex, global credit risk environment, balancing control rigor with business efficiency at scale. This role requires strong credit risk domain knowledge combined with experience leading control frameworks, governance routines, and process design across complex environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive collaboration, innovation, and transformation: Lead modernization of credit risk administration processes, advancing automation, data driven decisioning, and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics, to simplify workflows and improve scalability
  • Define and evolve the operating model: Establish and continuously refine the target operating model, including centralization strategy, service delivery design, and partnership with operations and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrate credit risk expertise: Apply deep knowledge of credit processes, including credit approval processes, monitoring, documentation, and regulatory expectations; engage credibly with Credit Officers and independently challenge and improve existing practices
  • Lead and manage the team: Set priorities aligned to business objectives and ensure effective execution of policy and process enhancements
  • Provide risk and control leadership: Oversee credit processes, data, and controls; identify structural risks; drive root cause remediation; and lead governance routines, control reporting, and issue management
  • Influence stakeholders and governance outcomes: Partner with control, operations, compliance, and technology teams to shape priorities, influence decisions, and embed strong risk discipline across initiatives
  • Collaborate across Risk Administration leadership: Work closely with peer Risk Administration leaders to align priorities, operating model decisions, and service delivery standards, ensuring consistent execution and coordinated coverage across the broader organization
  • Develop and retain talent: Build a high-performing team, strengthen management capability, and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and engagement

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10 years of experience in commercial or investment banking credit, or related risk, control, or operational roles required
  • Strong understanding of credit processes, including credit structuring, analysis, monitoring, documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience leading control frameworks, governance routines, and process design across complex environments
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex risk and operating environments, identify root causes, and translate insights into clear actions and scalable solutions
  • Experience driving process improvement through automation and data driven solutions, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, partner across functions, and deliver measurable impact
  • Ability to translate business and risk requirements into scalable solutions, influencing design and prioritization across cross functional teams
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive execution in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience in control and process oversight, including gap identification, root cause analysis, and control design and monitoring

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives across risk, control, or operational functions
  • Exposure to emerging technologies such as AI, advanced analytics, or workflow automation in risk or operational environments
  • Experience working across global teams and complex organizational structures
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple functions
