Broussard Group is looking for a highly motivated Furniture Installer that will contribute and grow within our culture of Commercial / GSA Interiors and Residential Designers.

We are growing rapidly and currently seeking full-time team members to join our talented team.

JOB LOCATION:

San Antonio, TX 78212

This role is a full-time, on-site position. We work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. Compensation will be based on experience with a hourly wage of $18.00 to $20.00/hour. This role provides opportunities for growth, development, and advancement while teaching relevant skills that you will carry for a lifetime.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assembly & Installation: Assemble, install, and align commercial office furniture (workstations, cubicles, case goods) or residential furniture according to layout specifications.
  • Logistics & Site Prep: Load and unload trucks, move furniture using dollies, and prepare the job site by clearing debris & trash.
  • Technical Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, job tickets, and installation manuals.
  • Tool Usage: Operate hand-held power tools and small tools safely.
  • Quality Control & Safety: Inspect furniture for damage, ensure stability, and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide professional, customer-focused service on-site.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, transport, and assemble heavy furniture.
  • Experience: Experience with commercial office furniture, modular systems, or cabinetry is often required.
  • Tools: Familiarity with tools – specifically Power Tols.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successfully pass a background check
  • Successfully pass a drug test
  • Some experience preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to professionally communicate with customers and team members
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be able to work within budgeted project timelines
  • Must take pride in delivering and performing quality workmanship
  • Must be able to distinguish between color, shade & brightness
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, repeat movements and use their hands to handle objects, tools or controls
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 110lbs or less
  • Must be able to stair-carry objects
  • Artistic abilities/qualities (including, but not limited to a sharp eye for color and good hand/eye-coordination)
  • Detail oriented
  • Basic knowledge of power and hand tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license with minimum 2 years of driving experience
  • Must be able to move up to 110 pounds with assistance, by lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, and crouching is required.
  • For safety reasons, respirators, are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face.
  • Be exposed to various inside working conditions: The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
  • Problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime and travel to out-of-town job sites.
