Job Description

This role provides independent oversight, governance and continuous improvement of the organisation’s whistleblower protection framework and competition law compliance program. It supports ethical culture, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across the Group.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Audit and business functions, the role is responsible for the oversight and ongoing enhancement of whistleblower and competition compliance frameworks, including assurance, education and continuous improvement. The role does not act as an investigator or legal adviser.

This position is well suited to a candidate looking to deepen their expertise in whistleblower protection and competition compliance within a structured governance environment.

This opportunity can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide governance and oversight of the whistleblower framework, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and internal policy
  • Oversee the triage and classification of whistleblower disclosures, ensuring appropriate characterisation, referral pathways and timely handling
  • Oversee compliance with the Whistleblower and Business Integrity Policy requirements, including confidentiality, anonymity and other protections
  • Maintain oversight of investigations into reportable conduct, including monitoring progress and reviewing outcomes, with investigations conducted by appropriate internal functions
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the competition law compliance program
  • Partner with stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Audit, HR and external advisors to strengthen governance, assurance and compliance outcomes
  • Coordinate risk assessments and assurance activities to evaluate the effectiveness of whistleblower and competition compliance frameworks
  • Prepare high-quality executive and Board-level reporting on whistleblower and competition compliance matters, enabling meaningful oversight, decision-making and identification of trends and systemic risks
  • Develop and deliver training and guidance to build organisational capability in whistleblower obligations and competition compliance

What You Will Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Risk, Governance, Compliance or a related discipline
  • Experience contributing to the development, management or maintenance of compliance frameworks, including competition or regulatory compliance programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • High level of integrity, independence and discretion when managing sensitive and confidential matters
