Job Description

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a WG District Sales Representative in our Rice Lake, Wisconsin location. This position is represented by We Energies Local 2150 Union.

The WG Sales Representative provides marketing and sales, technical knowledge, primary customer contact, project management, cost analysis, and problem solving to new and existing customers in a cost-effective manner. They interact with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides marketing and sales, technical knowledge, primary customer contact, project management, cost analysis, and problem solving to new and existing customers in a cost-effective manner
  • Interacts with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Proactively managing customer issues for medium size commercial customers, subdivision developers, residential, existing and new construction, energy audits, service alterations, main orders and inactive accounts
  • Manages customer expectations while being the customer advocate within We Energies for service/main installations, relocations, customer rate and billing questions
  • Initiates projects in STORMS, communicating about and properly recording customer "Required-By Dates", collecting initial service applications and load information and handling status updates with customers about projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicant must have two years of relevant customer sales or service experience related to gas
  • Customer service orientation, sales and marketing skills, communication skills, mathematical problem-solving, and basic working knowledge of personal computers are required
  • Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s requirements for driving

Testing Requirements

Energy Services Consultant Presentation Exercise (ESCP): An interactive exercise in which the applicant will review data and make a brief presentation and answer questions from the panel. Competencies being measured are communication & presentation skills; customer service orientation; interpersonal presence; and overall performance.

Sales and Marketing Structured Interview (SMSI): Relevance of training and experience as related to the job, customer service orientation, sales and marketing skills, and communication skills.

End Date: 04/10/2026

Minimum Posting Range: $28.07

Maximum Posting Range: $46.78

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
