Job Mission:

The High-end segment, encompassing High Jewelry and Haute Horlogerie, is a key category that CHANEL has high ambitions to develop in the mid-term. Our goal is to become one of the 5 key leading High Jewelry brands in the market as well as the referent brand for feminine High-end Watches.

In this context, it is essential for the mainland China team to be focused and equipped with the right expertise and resources to drive the development of the High-end category in line with our roadmap and support Mainland China’s strong High-End image and business ambitions as one of the core markets.

The Senior High-End business manager, under the leadership of the Head of retail- WFJ would lead cross-department/team conversation and formulate CN WFJ High-end strategy for divisional / Regional / Global alignment, while orchestrate with relevant parties all around to drive impactful High-end projects with global/regional exposure.

The incumbent will act as a transversal enabler with WFJ departments Retail / Marketing / Merchandising/Learning & Engagement as well as close collaboration with Fashion Division to manage the daily business and operations on the High-End category continue secure and grow high-end client business

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with Head of Retail-WFJ and define the vision and strategy with the WFJ GM on the High-end business in mainland China, while identifying and addressing the resources and support needed to achieve our ambitions, in terms of business, brand image and client experience and engagement

  • Evaluate and anticipate needs of High-End stock to support daily business and events, with Retail and Merchandising team based on sales potential, VM display and distribution evolution
  • Work with Senior Retail Manager and boutiques to define event and routing calendar, ensure it answers the mainland China needs to achieve business ambitions

Orchestrate with relevant parties all around to drive impactful HE projects with global/regional exposure and continue elevate the High-end customer experience to the highest standards

  • Reinforce the synergies with Fashion division in terms of client knowledge and targeting, one house approach across all touchpoints, leverage the new retail format in Fashion (Salon Prieve, Les Atlier and etc. )and integration of HE as part of a seamless VIC client journey and successful conversion
  • Build the client pipeline for tomorrow: identify opportunities of recruitment internally (Fashion conversion, WFJ upgrade, inactive reactivation) and externally, and provide boutiques with the right support to maximize these opportunities
  • Continue synergize with FSN to enable the development through events, BTQs and communications & building fundamentals with expertise & quality, retain and loyalize existing and newly recruited with Ultimate clients journey
  • Coordinate the participation of mainland CHINA to International events, ensuring personalized treatment for each client according to their segmentation and potential
  • Support the Senior L&E manager for any learning and engagement needs related to High-End business (launches and event preparation, HE community), engage both FSN & WFJ Retail leaders to give confidence & assert them as key success stakeholders for WFJ

Support the High-End daily sales and operations, overseeing the stock allocation, transfers orders and client’s requests

  • Maximize the exposure and commercial potential of mainland China model stock by building routing action plans and allocating the stock according to the boutique needs and opportunities (presentations, events, routing, customer requests…)
  • In collaboration with the Senior Retail Manager, propose boutiques animations to regularly promote High Jewelry and Haute Horlogerie
  • Answer to local market customer requests by transferring the stock needed timely for presentation, in coordination with Sr.Retail Manager and HBD team
  • Manage transfers orders in/out mainland China, minimizing the lead time as much as possible and optimizing the transfers management
  • Support the Senior L&E manager for any learning and engagement needs related to High-End business (launches and event preparation, HE community), engage both FSN & WFJ Retail leaders to give confidence & assert them as key success stakeholders for WFJ.

Work experience:

A seasoned leader who is experienced in the management of High-end category and clients

Strong knowledge of high-end clientele expectations and services especially mainland China clientele

Previous experience in Luxury Retail in a major High-end market is a key asset

Required competencies:
