Our Summer Internship Program provides opportunities to explore careers in insurance, technology, analytics, finance, human resources, communications, and other business functions. Throughout the summer, interns build professional skills, grow their networks, and gain valuable insight into how a leading property & casualty insurance company serves its customers, agents, and communities.
As a Westfield Intern, you may:
Actuarial Interns support key insurance functions including pricing, reserving, predictive modeling, and data analysis. Interns work alongside experienced actuaries to solve business problems, analyze trends, and help drive data-informed decisions that support Westfield's success.
Claims Interns gain exposure to the claims process and how Westfield delivers exceptional service to customers during important moments. Interns may assist with claim investigations, data analysis, process improvement initiatives, and projects that support operational excellence.
Communications Interns help tell Westfield's story through internal and external communications, content creation, employee engagement initiatives, and digital communication strategies. Interns gain experience supporting programs that strengthen relationships with employees, customers, agents, and communities.
Data Analytics & Reporting Interns work with data, reporting tools, and business stakeholders to deliver insights that support decision-making. Interns gain experience analyzing information, identifying trends, and helping transform data into meaningful business outcomes.
Data Science Interns support the development of analytical and predictive solutions that address real-world business challenges. Interns work with large data sets, explore emerging analytical techniques, and help generate insights that influence strategic decision-making.
Finance & Accounting Interns gain experience supporting financial operations, reporting, analysis, budgeting, and business planning activities. Interns develop a deeper understanding of how financial information supports organizational performance and strategic decision-making.
Government Relations Interns gain exposure to legislative, regulatory, and public policy issues impacting the insurance industry. Interns may research emerging topics, monitor industry developments, and support initiatives that help advance Westfield's business objectives.
Human Resources Interns support initiatives related to talent acquisition, employee experience, learning and development, compensation, benefits, and organizational effectiveness. Interns gain hands-on experience helping create a positive and engaging workplace culture.
Information Security Interns assist with efforts to protect Westfield's systems, data, and digital assets. Interns gain exposure to cybersecurity practices, risk management, threat monitoring, and initiatives designed to strengthen the organization's security posture.
Information Technology Interns work with technology professionals to support systems, applications, infrastructure, and digital solutions that enable business success. Interns gain practical experience applying technology to solve business challenges and improve user experiences.
Internal Audit Interns help evaluate business processes, internal controls, and risk management practices across the organization. Interns learn how organizations identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen controls, and support effective governance.
Risk Control Interns partner with professionals who help organizations identify, assess, and mitigate risk. Interns gain exposure to risk management strategies, safety practices, loss prevention activities, and customer-focused consulting services.
