Saddle up partner, Westerner Days is back and looking for new team members!

The best summer fair and expo in Central Alberta is taking place July 15 – July 19, 2026, welcoming thousands of attendees for entertainment, exhibitions, and midway attractions, is back for another year!

Westerner Park takes pride in hosting Westerner Days and is seeking individuals who are responsible, energetic, and outgoing to help make it possible from July 14 – July 19, 2026!

The Event Attendant supports the delivery of Westerner Days internal activations taking place July 15 – 19, 2026. Reporting to the Event Services Team, this role ensures pavilions and related activations are prepared, maintained, and guest-ready, while promoting a safe and positive experience for all attendees.

This position contributes to the overall quality of Westerner Days, supports positive guest experience, and helps ensure the continued success of Westerner Days.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Under the direction of the Event Fulfilment Manager, and the Event Services team, the Event Attendant is responsible for the following:

  • Provide on-site event support, including the supervision and maintenance of Kidventure, The Market, The Junction, Agventure, and Chuckwagons
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and engage positively with guests of all ages
  • Perform duties including, but not limited to, supervising games, bounce houses, and sensory stations; supporting vendors and entertainers; assisting with animal feeding and pen cleaning; and maintaining activation areas
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of all internal fair activities
  • Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and resolving guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the successful delivery and overall guest experience of Westerner Days

What You’ll Bring

  • 1 to 2 years or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a dynamic event environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Availability to work all required shifts during Westerner Days from July 14–19, 2026, including days, evenings, and extended hours as needed based on operational needs.
