We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Regional Executive leader to support our Western facility recovery teams!

Advanced Recovery Systems is a behavioral healthcare management organization focused on addressing addiction and mental health challenges. We provide essential support for individuals facing substance use disorders and mental health issues across the U.S. Our facilities deliver exceptional care using evidence-based therapeutic models, aiming to empower men and women to live fulfilling lives free from addiction and mental health struggles.

The Vice President of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of assigned facilities and supervising Site CEOs to ensure optimal performance, quality care, and alignment with company objectives. This role collaborates closely with the Senior Vice President of Operations to support all facilities as needed, driving strategic initiatives, operational efficiencies, and compliance with regulatory standards. The Vice President of Operations is instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities:
The Vice President of Operations works with the Senior Vice President of Operations to support and oversee Site CEOs and facility operations to ensure high performance, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Operational Oversight: Support Site CEOs in achieving full operational and financial performance of their facilities, providing guidance on budget management, expense approval processes, and revenue optimization.
  2. Performance Monitoring: Analyze performance metrics across departments, assisting Site CEOs in identifying trends and implementing improvement plans to align with company objectives.
  3. Leadership Support: Provide coaching and mentorship to Site CEOs to develop and maintain effective leadership teams across all operational areas, including medical, nursing, clinical, and support services.
  4. Strategic Alignment: Ensure that Site CEOs and their teams are aligned with corporate vision and procedures related to admissions, staffing, business development, and financial services.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and support Site CEOs in ensuring adherence to state, Joint Commission, and insurance provider regulations, as well as licensing standards, patient rights, and applicable guidelines such as ASAM criteria.
  6. Audit Readiness: Assist Site CEOs in preparing for and achieving successful outcomes in state and Joint Commission audits, including monitoring and executing plans of correction for any deficiencies or complaints.
  7. Policy and Procedure Management: Ensure Site CEOs implement and enforce company policies and procedures, providing guidance where needed to address gaps or inconsistencies.
  8. Employee Development: Support Site CEOs in executing timely staff onboarding, training, continuing education, and supervision to build a high-performing team.
  9. Culture and Leadership: Promote a positive facility culture by fostering collaboration, client-centered care, and alignment with organizational values across all levels of leadership.
  10. Resource Allocation: Partner with Site CEOs to assess and fulfill resource needs, including staffing ratios, facility maintenance, and operational support, to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  11. Community Engagement: Guide Site CEOs in maintaining relationships with community partners, supporting business development strategies, and ensuring strong local presence.
  12. Reporting and Communication: Ensure timely and accurate reporting from facilities to senior leadership, maintaining transparency and accountability for operational and financial outcomes.
  13. Crisis Management: Provide assistance and oversight during critical incidents, regulatory challenges, or staff-related issues to ensure swift and effective resolution.
  14. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Site CEOs to identify opportunities for process improvements and best practice implementation to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  15. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Operations to support the success of the organization.

This role ensures consistent support and oversight for Site CEOs while maintaining a focus on compliance, performance, and the overall success of Advanced Recovery Systems' facilities.

*This role is not 100% remote, it requires travel. Candidates that reside in Central/Mountain/Pacific time zone, with close proximity to an airport are preferred. *

Requirements

Education:

Master’s degree and five (5) years of experience as defined below.

Or bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of experience as defined below.

Or 10+ years’ experience as a director as defined below.

Experience:

With Master’s – five (5) years of full-time, or full-time equivalent, administrative or supervisory experience in addiction, psychiatric, or mental health licensed facility.

With Bachelor’s – seven (7) years of full-time, or full-time equivalent, administrative or supervisory experience in addiction, psychiatric, or mental health licensed facility.

10+ years’ experience in an administrative or supervisory director role in an addiction, psychiatric, or mental health licensed facility.

Licensure/Certification:

Basic First Aid

CPR

Ability to maintain licenses/certifications as required by Company policies and State regulations
