
West Midlands Police is building a bank of casual workers to support the organisation during periods of peak demand. We are seeking individuals with a diverse range of skills and experience to join this flexible workforce.
Key Information
Once individuals successfully complete our selection and onboarding checks, they will be issued a zero-hours contract.
Please note: Work is not guaranteed.
Assignments may last up to 4 months, with a minimum 1-week break between assignments.
Pay will be based on the grade of the assignment, so hourly rates may vary. An additional 12.07% rolled-up holiday pay will be included.
Selection Process
Application
Interested individuals must complete and submit the application form.
Interview
Applicants who pass our pre-screening checks will be invited to an interview. This will assess alignment with West Midlands Police values and explore relevant skills and experience.
Pre-Employment Checks
If successful, the following checks will be required:
Vetting: Non-Police Personnel Vetting Level 2 & Counter-Terrorist Check (NPPV 2 + CTC) as a minimum.
References: 5 years of employment or professional references.
Health Declaration: Completion of a health declaration form.
Contract Offer
Upon successful completion of all checks, a zero-hours contract will be issued.
Mandatory New Starter Tasks
Before deployment, individuals must:
Complete a WMP Skills Profile to help match you to suitable assignments.
Complete mandatory e-learning modules.
Attend an ID card appointment. Your ID card will be retained by Recruitment until your first assignment.
Once all steps are completed, you will be contacted when suitable opportunities arise.
