Job Description

Group Compliance & Legal (GCL) supports Munich Re's Board of Management and business units in ensuring compliance with legal and internal regulatory requirements. Within GCL, the team “Global Compliance Management System & Compliance EU/LA” is responsible for the development and oversight of the Group-wide Compliance Management System, compliance risk monitoring, and the central Norm Management framework. The team also manages Munich Re’s internal policy framework and supports policy owners through the Group-wide Norm Portal.

Your Job

  • Process Optimization, Data Analytics & Digitalization: Support the team in simplifying and automating compliance processes through digital solutions. Help analyze data from compliance tools, build dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI and Excel, and support data-driven insights, reporting, and decision-making
  • Digital CMS Rollout & Support: Support the rollout and continuous improvement of digital Compliance Management System (CMS) solutions, including stakeholder coordination, user support, communication activities, and change management initiatives
  • Compliance Culture & Awareness: Foster a strong compliance culture by supporting targeted communication initiatives and the development of modern, interactive training and awareness programs tailored to different audiences
  • International Collaboration: Support the team in its collaboration with the global Compliance organization, with a particular focus on Compliance functions across the Europe and Latin America regions. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and contribute to the exchange of best practices within the international Compliance network

Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Law, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field with an interest in Compliance
  • Affinity for AI and digital tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Copilot
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, a structured way of thinking, and a pragmatic, hands-on approach with a strong focus on execution
  • A collaborative and proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills, a high level of personal commitment, and the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Initial experience or interest in Compliance would be an advantage

Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
