
The Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption Recruiter plays a vital role in helping children in foster care achieve permanency through adoption. This position focuses on child-specific recruitment, building strong relationships with children and families, and collaborating with community partners and service providers to identify and support adoptive family matches. Support is delivered through ongoing assessment, individualized recruitment planning, diligent family search efforts, and active coordination with each child’s professional and personal support team. This position is funded through the nationally-recognized Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Program.

Woodfords Family Services is a nonprofit organization that’s been committed to the support and inclusion of people with special needs and their families in Maine communities for over 55 years! Today, the organization provides a wide array of clinical, educational, behavioral health, residential, community, and family support programs to more than 2,000 children, youth, and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or mental health diagnoses throughout the state.
