This is an opportunity for an experienced Welsh voice professional to contribute directly to the development of next-generation AI voice technologies.
You’ll use your performance expertise to help create training data that enables AI systems to communicate with greater naturalness, accuracy, and expression.
The role combines professional voice recording with linguistic evaluation, annotation, and detailed feedback on AI-generated speech.
You’ll assess pronunciation, tone, pacing, emotional expression, and regional variation to help improve Welsh voice models.
Working with advanced AI tools, you’ll contribute to refining prompts, evaluation methods, and voice design guidelines.

• Record scripted training material in Welsh with clear pronunciation, natural delivery, and appropriate vocal expression.
• Evaluate AI-generated speech for linguistic accuracy, fluency, naturalness, pronunciation, tone, pacing, and emotional expression.
• Identify and annotate errors or inconsistencies in AI-generated voice outputs.
• Provide detailed expert feedback to help improve the quality, authenticity, and usability of Welsh voice models.
• Assess regional and linguistic variations to help ensure AI-generated speech reflects natural Welsh communication.
• Collaborate with project teams to refine prompts, evaluation methodologies, and voice design guidelines.
• Apply professional voice acting expertise to produce consistent, high-quality training data.
• Follow recording, quality, annotation, and project guidelines accurately and consistently.
• Contribute insights based on professional experience in voice performance, narration, dubbing, or related fields.

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience in Welsh voice acting, dubbing, narration, or a closely related performance discipline.
• Native-level or highly proficient Welsh language ability with strong command of pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, and natural expression.
• Strong ability to deliver scripted content consistently while maintaining clarity, authenticity, and appropriate emotional tone.
• Excellent attention to detail when evaluating speech quality, linguistic accuracy, and subtle pronunciation or delivery differences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for providing clear, actionable feedback.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in a freelance project environment.
• Experience with voice recording, audio evaluation, linguistic annotation, training, or coaching is a plus.
• Comfortable working with AI tools and evaluating AI-generated speech.
• Access to a high-quality recording setup, including a reliable microphone and quiet recording environment.
• Secure computer and stable internet connection suitable for remote project work.
