Registered Nurse (RN) Senior Living

Provide Compassionate Clinical Leadership in Senior Living

We are seeking a highly professional Wellness Nurse/Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the clinical coordination and health services for our residents in our beautiful community. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, thrive in a collaborative environment, and be committed to making a difference in the lives of our residents every day.

Nurse Responsibilities

The RN is responsible for the clinical oversight and management of resident health services, including:

  • Clinical Coordination: Overseeing the coordination of all clinical aspects of resident health services, including care provided by the facility and outside providers.
  • Documentation Management: Ensuring all residents have signed doctors' orders for all medications, diets, treatments, and outside services.
  • Medication Program Management: Managing the medication assistance program to ensure medications and treatments are carried out as intended, and that all unused and expired medications are disposed of properly and timely.
  • Delegation and Training: Delegating and assigning medication assistance and other nursing activities (such as wound care and insulin administration) to facility care team members. Training staff on proper methods, observing for accuracy and effectiveness, and maintaining proper documentation according to Board of Nursing requirements.
  • Resident Assessment: Performing nursing assessments regularly and on a per-need basis (e.g., change in condition) to determine and monitor resident needs, wants, and abilities.
  • Communication: Documenting residents’ conditions in nursing notes to ensure clear communication between all care providers.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license to practice in the state of Idaho.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of geriatric/senior living nursing experience preferred; Minimum of one (1) year supervisory and management experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Certifications in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and medications are required.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of state rules, regulations, fire codes, and other safety practices, including all residents’ rights (e.g., the right to be free of restraints and abuse).
  • Skills:
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and facility issues and records.
  • Must be a self-motivated leader able to work collaboratively with regional operations directors, facility administrators, and care staff.
  • Rotating on-call with nursing department

Other Requirements

· Must possess valid driver’s license, reliable transportation

· Must pass a criminal background check.

· Must complete continuing education required by the state licensing agency.
