Part Time Wellness Nurse/Medication Technician

7:00 am – 3:30 pm Thursday and Friday

$37.20 - $40.00 per hour

La Costa Glen is currently hiring a part time LVN Wellness Nurse who will also work as a Medication Technician

• Supervises the Medication Assistance Program to comply with RCFE regulations and ensuring that documentation and assisting with medication is accurately completed. Audits medication administration records on a regular basis.
• Accepts and documents new medications brought into the community per policy. Safely prepares and assists resident with medication administration. Maintains accurate medication documentation and records. Complete the three checks of the six rights.
• Responds to on-site emergencies with the emergency response team.
• Conduct welfare checks on resident as directed
• Provides clerical support and receptionist services for department as needed.
• Serves as a customer service role model for Resident Associates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse License in good standing with the LVN Board of Nursing required.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification required.
• A minimum of two years experience as an LVN.
• A minimum of one year as a wellness nurse in assisted living or a CCRC with knowledge of Title 22 RCFE Regulations preferred.
• One year experience as a home health nurse a plus.
• Must possess strong clinical skills, and have strong customer service, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
