Salary Range: $16.90 - $16.90 Hourly

Esthetician Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and explain to them the list of products and services
- Perform luxury skincare services, such as facials, body scrubs, offered by the spa
- Suggest various upgrades, such as the use of specialized skincare products
- Conduct pre and/or post-treatment consultations for clients with problem areas, advising how best to care for their skin
- Attend all staff meetings and continuing education workshops
- Actively support and participate in wellness team and spa’s goals and tasks
- Present oneself as well-groomed and professional, reflecting the outcomes of effective skin care and appropriate daytime makeup application.
- Recommend home care treatments and follow up with guests for repeat business
- Stay current on skin care trends and treatments
- Teach co-workers about skin care and products
- Use spa scheduling software to following bookings and work scheduled shifts
- Maintain updated CA State Board of Cosmetology Regulations
Esthetician Requirements
Skincare Expertise:
- Proficiency in various skin care techniques, including facials, peels, and facial massage
Knowledge of Products:
- Understanding of skincare products, their ingredients, and their appropriate usage for different skin types. Stay updated on current products and industry trends
Makeup Application:
- Ability to apply makeup professionally and enhance clients' features. Maintain appropriate hair and makeup to reflect good skin care practice
Sanitation Practices:
- Adherence to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe organized environment for clients.
Client Communication and exceptional customer service skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, understand their needs, and recommend appropriate treatments.
Problem-Solving Skills:
- Capability to assess skin conditions and provide tailored solutions for individual skincare concerns.
Sales and Marketing:
- Basic understanding of sales techniques and the ability to promote skincare products and services that inspire guests to continue self care. Meet product sales and treatment expectations
Time Management:
- Efficiently managing appointments and ensuring timely delivery of services.
Continued Education:
- Willingness to stay updated on the latest skincare trends, techniques, and products through continued education and training.
Empathy and Compassion:
- Demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients' concerns and providing a comforting experience during treatments.
License and education
- Current CA state esthetician’s license in good standing
- High school diploma or equivalent—associate degree is a plus
Individualized treatments
- Able to apply, suggest and sell products based on specific needs
Team support and engagement
- Assist with spa tasks such as maintaining guest and staff areas to spa standards
Work independently
- Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate guests when needed
Willingness to learn
- New techniques, skills and products
Spa workshops
- Comfortable speaking in front of small groups about skin care products
Work environment and Physical demands
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
- Frequent walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs
- Ability to stand and move continuously
- Lifting 50 pounds maximum
- Stocking, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning toilets/bathrooms
- Working with required chemicals
- Shifts of up to 8 hours per day, plus periodic additional overtime hours
Details
- Full-time position available immediately
- 40 hours of paid time off per year
- Healthcare benefits available after 90 days
- 401K eligible with company match after 1 year
- A regular work schedule with specific days off will be established
- Room and board available for fixed weekly cost both Onsite and Offsite
