The Summit Area YMCA is seeking an experienced, hands-on Wellness Center Manager to lead daily operations of our Wellness Centers at the Summit and Berkeley Heights branches. We’re looking for someone who knows how a fitness center runs, from supporting members and supervising staff to keeping equipment and workout areas safe, clean, and ready for use.
You’ll be a visible presence on the wellness floor, building relationships with members, coaching staff, and taking initiative to address daily needs. The right candidate brings practical fitness center experience, sound judgment, and the confidence to step in, organize priorities, and lead by example.
This full-time, non exempt-level position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week. This role generally works Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities. The salary range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/ hour, based on experience. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
