Your Mission as a Well Testing Chief Operator

As a well-testing chief Operator, you will lead well-testing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of field activities. Your role is crucial in supervising well testing crews, operating and maintaining testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental standards. Through effective leadership and technical expertise, you will optimize well testing procedures to meet client and company objectives.

You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Well Testing Chief Operator

• Supervise Well Testing Operations Oversee surface well testing, clean-up, and production testing activities.
• Operate & Maintain Equipment Ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance of well-testing equipment (flowhead, separator, burners, pressure gauges, sand filters, etc.).
• Ensure Safety & Compliance Enforce HSE policies, conduct safety briefings, and ensure adherence to industry safety regulations.
• Lead & Train Crew Guide and mentor well-testing operators and technicians, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Data Collection & Reporting Monitor well parameters, record test data accurately, and prepare detailed reports for engineers and clients.
• Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues Diagnose and resolve equipment or operational problems to minimize downtime.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary liaison between the well testing team, field supervisors, engineers, and clients.
• Manage Pressure & Flow Ensure well pressure is safely controlled and fluid flow is managed efficiently during testing.
• Environmental & Waste Management Oversee proper handling and disposal of hydrocarbons, water, and waste materials per environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Well Testing Chief Operator

• Education Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, or related Engineering field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience good years in well testing operations,
• Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Expertise in well testing equipment operation and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of pressure control and flow management.
  • Proficiency in interpreting P&ID diagrams and well test reports.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and challenging field conditions.

• Working Days & Hours: Rotation (6x3) or (4x4)
• Location: South of Sirt / Zintan- Libya
