Job Descriptions

• Review welding drawings (including customer-specific designs) and communicate technical requirements internally and externally.
• Provide technical clarification and support to the production department and other related units regarding welding processes and standards.
• Prepare welder qualification guidelines and conduct technical training and onboarding for welders.
• Supervise welding procedure qualification tests and compile qualification records and reports.
• Draft and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), work instructions, and related documentation.
• Ensure the accuracy, effectiveness, and compliance of welding procedures with relevant standards.
• Organize and manage welder certification and recertification activities in accordance with industry codes.
• Support internal and external welding-related audits and certification processes.
• Provide technical guidance and monitor welding practices to ensure process discipline in production.
• Any task assigned by superior.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• CERTIFIED WELDING INSPECTOR (CWI) OR INTERNATIONAL WELDING ENGINEER (IWE) CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Welding Engineer or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in various welding processes, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• In-depth knowledge of international welding standards and codes (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO).
• Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, joint design, and non-destructive testing techniques
• Proficient in welding documentation, inspections, and process control.

Location: Senai, Johor

Working Hours: Mon - Fri (8:00AM - 5:30PM)

Salary Range: Negotiable
