Provide manufacturing technical welding direction and assistance for new and existing products, including process design, facility layout, capital equipment, and tooling requirements manufacturing operations. The position drives continuous improvement while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).
a. Ability to understand manufacturing, assembly, welding, and fit & trim process, be able to interact with Design Engineers in technical discussions around these processes.
b. Possesses a good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance usage.
c. Familiarity with New Product Introduction project management systems.
d. Evaluates/Selects tooling and equipment supplies as well welding process. Writes capital justification requests.
