OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Is the guarantor of the respect of the norms and / or specifications applicable to the markets

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Is responsible for compliance with welding specifications

  • Is the reference for the field of welding (has the power to stop production)

  • Is technical support for Manufacturing - Purchasing - Quality - Service - Technology Transfer

  • Participates in the treatment of R.N.C.

  • Participate in supplier audits

  • He is the representative of the company during the audits (ISO 9001, ALSTOM, ...) and / or audit carried out by the customers

  • Ensures a technological watch (evolution of standards, technology or materials, ...)

  • Supervise the qualifications of the staff (welding school monitor, controller, welders and operators) in the field of welding

  • Pilot the qualifications of the welding procedures

  • Leads the "Welding Technique" group consisting mainly of welding school monitor and welding controllers

  • Is the power of proposal to improve welding (aspect quality and cost)

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION

  • IWE graduate (International Welding Engineer)

  • BE / B Tech (Mechanical)

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  1. Should have an experience in Heavy Metal Welding Industry

  2. Should be able to give training to Engineers and Welders

  3. Expérience in Locomotive/ Automobile Industry would be preferred

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

  • 10-12 years professional experience in similar field

  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language

  • IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
