Welder/Grinder Duration: Contract to Hire Location: Richmond, VA 23224 Shift: 1st Shift Pay Rate: Starting at $18; higher rates may be offered based on experience.
A rapidly growing miscellaneous metals fabrication and installation company is seeking experienced Welder/Grinders for their Richmond, VA shop.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Weld/Grind stairs, rails, and misc. metals
MI Welding
Operating an overhead crane
Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws
Required Qualifications:
Experience with MIG welding
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet fast-paced project demands
Ability to use basic math and geometry
Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced work environment
Have a positive attitude with a dependable self-driven work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Welding Certification
Experience with stringers for stairs and/or porches
Experience working with Misc Metals
