WELDER / FABRICATOR

DHT Group | Reese, Michigan

DHT Group is looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team at our Reese, Michigan location.

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a fabrication shop — someone who can take a project from measurements and layout through fit-up, welding and final inspection.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform welding and metal fabrication for a variety of shop projects, repairs and components
• Measure, lay out, cut, fit, tack, weld and finish fabricated parts
• Read and work from prints, drawings, measurements and specifications
• Use grinders, saws, cutting equipment and other common fabrication tools
• Inspect completed work for proper fit, dimensions and weld quality
• Assist with fabrication, modification and repair projects throughout the operation
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Work with shop personnel to complete projects safely and efficiently

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous welding and/or metal fabrication experience
• Strong fabrication, layout and fit-up skills
• Ability to accurately use tape measures, squares and other measuring tools
• Ability to read and interpret prints or fabrication drawings
• Mechanical aptitude and solid problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safe work practices

Experience with multiple welding processes and fabrication equipment is a plus.
