Dominion Generation is seeking qualified applicants for Welder 1st Class position at our Mt Storm Power Station, located in Mt Storm, West Virginia.The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Performing oxygen and acetylene torch operations and welding on pressure vessels, piping components, valves and structural steel.Ability to perform GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and brazing on pressure and non-pressure components.

While the typical work schedule for this position is 06:00 – 14:30, availability is required to work overtime and night shift when needed.Some travel (for periods of up to a month or more) may be required to support other station outages.

Starting pay for this position is $40.22 per hour. This position does not pay relocation costs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Minimum of three years welding experience with piping and pressure vessels, the ability to perform GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and brazing on pressure and non-pressure components.
• The candidate must successfully pass the Dominion Generation pre-employment welding test.
• May be subject to extreme temperatures both hot and cold.
• Must be comfortable working at heights that may exceed 100 feet (e.g., scaffolding, rooftops, elevated platforms, ladders, man baskets).
• Must be or be able to become respirator qualified.
• Power station welding experience, pipefitting experience, abilities in pipefitting, layout, print reading and fabrication of components are preferred.
• Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or more rounds to one full year of qualifications
