Job Title: Sheet Metal Welder (MIG/TIG)
Location: Walker, Michigan
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $18 – $25 per hour
(based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Welder to join our team in Walker, MI. This is a hands-on role focused on high-quality welding in a precision job shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal
• 
  Work primarily with cold rolled steel and stainless steel, with occasional galvanized material
• 
  Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• 
  Weld components in a job shop setting with emphasis on precision and appearance
• 
  Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
• 
  Perform quality checks on finished welds
• 
  Maintain a clean and organized work area

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Strong experience with
  thin sheet metal fabrication
  (job shop environment preferred over heavy structural welding)
• 
  Proficient in both
  MIG and TIG welding
• 
  Robot welding experience
  is a significant plus
• 
  Ability to work with cold rolled steel, stainless steel, and galvanized materials
• 
  Prior experience in a metal fabrication shop
• 
  Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
• 
  Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
