Job Description

For 70 + years, Tri-Arc Manufacturing has been offering state-of-the-art steel and aluminum rolling ladders and configurable platform products. Tri-Arc is seeking MIG and fabrication welders for 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) for our plant located in Blawnox, PA. Tri-Arc offers a competitive starting rate of $27.14 and also offers a generous benefit package. The right candidate(s) will have the opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union after completing 520 probationary hours. This is a skilled, Welder II level position and all candidates are required to take and pass a steel and aluminum welding test.   • MIG welds various metals including mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding. Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
  • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG welding equipment.
  • Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials.

Requirements

  • Certificate from college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience welding various metals including mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
