As a Welder, you’ll operate metal fabrication equipment such as gas tungsten arc (GTAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), flux-cored arc (FAW), plasma arc (PAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), and resistance welding.
What you’ll do
Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Operate brazing and soldering equipment
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
Participate in continuous improvement of processes
Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
Observe all applicable safety requirements
Basic Qualifications
3 months or more of TIG welding experience
At least 6 months of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and basic welding process specifications under supervision
Ability to sit or stand at least 50% of work shift
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Skills
Experience using production tracking or inventory control systems to log work orders, time, and materials accurately.
Well-organized with attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to think outside the box when solving problems.
