We have a current opening for a Welder Fabricator II for our office in Sacramento, CA.

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

  • Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment.
  • Fabricate custom and complex parts, products, machines, and equipment.
  • Rework and/or repair parts, products, machines, and equipment.
  • Follow blueprints to meet specifications.
  • Be well versed in GMAW, GTAH, and SMAW processes.
  • Use and maintain all tools and equipment within the fabrication shop.
  • Perform quality control of their work and the work of others.
  • Quickly change focus to be able to assist on miscellaneous projects.
  • Create accurate time and material take offs for projects.
  • Using the manufacturing tracking software update items as they flow through the shop from raw material to finished product.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to facilitate the timely completion of products (VC, Prefab, Procurement, Engineering).

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of welding and fabricating experience
  • Experience working in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Welding certifications are preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to create complete, complicated products and machines based on blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and take directions.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to take instruction and proactively learn from senior fabricators.
  • Ability to produce high quality of work.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Products and fabrication software.

Safety & Physical Requirements:

  • Proper use of PPE
  • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Promotes safety and actively participates in safety meetings.
  • Speaks up when identifying an unsafe working condition or practice.
  • Will lift, carry, push, bend, pull, kneel, and reach.
  • Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Salary Range:

  • $33/hour - $48/hour
    • This is an non-exempt position.
