Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Welder to join its Engineering and Maintenance team in Mellieħa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication, and repair works across the property, ensuring that all metal structures, equipment, and facilities are maintained to high standards of safety, durability, and quality.

This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in precision workmanship and enjoys hands-on technical work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, cutting, and metal repair works as required.
• Repair and maintain metal structures, equipment, railings, gates, frames, and other fixtures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Use welding equipment and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on metal components and structures.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair requirements.
• Assist with refurbishment, renovation, and improvement projects across the property.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Only candidates currently residing in Malta or candidates based in Europe holding EU nationality will be considered.
• Previous experience as a Welder, Fabricator, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques will be considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Strong knowledge of welding equipment, materials, and safety procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience within a hotel, commercial, industrial, or maintenance environment will be considered an advantage.
