Additional overtime available as business needs increase
Compensation: $20 per hour
Purpose of Role:
Our Welders are responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on metal parts and components. The Robotic Welder will work closely with other members of the production team to ensure that all welding tasks are completed on time and to the required specifications.
Essential Job Functions:
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Replaces worn machine accessories such as cutting tools or brushes.
Uses equipment and supplies to perform work in accordance with operational standards.
Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Manager.
Operate and maintain robotic welding equipment
Set up welding equipment and adjust settings as needed
Monitor the welding process to ensure quality and accuracy
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
Complying with internal policies and industry regulations
Follow instructions and/or direction given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Robotic Welder or similar role
Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding diagrams
Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
Fabricating experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Work as a team within department and with other departments and Leads
Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company policies
Required Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.
Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
