Repairs defects on castings by welding as per required specifications.
Takes appropriate care to Howmet’s tools and equipment.
Consults the router to certify the piece. Checks the instructions to locate the required repairs.
Adjusts the welding equipment for the type of repairs required (location and thickness) and performs a high-quality weld following the proper welding technique.
Follows all the necessary safety measures in performing the work and informs co-workers of any safety precautions.
Performs pre and post weld blend and preparation operations on castings using hand and bench mounted tools as required.
Ensures that all the required documents of the router have been stamped and signed when the welding repairs have been completed.
Performs other duties as required.

Professional High School Diploma with welding certificate or High School Certificate with 5 years of Aluminum TIG welding experience.
