Job Description
Level I: Hourly Rate of $24.00 - $26.00
- Ensuring high safety measures while working such as donning protective gear for the face and body
- Regularly and consistently demonstrate skill in the areas of MIG, Flux and Tig welding.
- Welding various metals together.
- Fit, tack and weld.
- Being aware of the different methods of welding
- Examining the equipment after welding and advising maintenance of defects
- Planning and set up of welding operations before beginning.
- Must know weld symbols.
- Laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding metals to create the desired shape or object.
- Demonstrate teamwork by working well with others and responding positively to constructive feedback.
IMPORTANT: Level I Welder must be able to complete and successfully pass the (2) welding tests below within 2-days
from start date.
- Hardwire / Carbon steel:
- Vertical and overhead
- Types: Tee Joint, Flare Bevel weld, and Butt joint weld
- Flux Core / Carbon steel:
- 3/8" Carbon Steel Plate Coupon Set
- 45-degree bend with backing plate
Upon completing and successfully passing the 3rd weld test below, advancement to Level II will be made. There are no time
constraints in place for passing this test.

Level II: Hourly Rate of $26.00 - $30.00
- Must be certified welder in Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel and MIG (minimum of two required)
- Fit, tack and weld fabrications to complete.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering plan, use the blueprints along with other data, such as work plans,
to fabricate their welding projects.
- Create cut list from blueprints
