About The Role

The role of the Production Lead is to successfully train personnel efficiently on specific processes to manufacture quality products and mentor new employees to acclimate them to the department and company.

Responsibilities

• Train others in the manufacturing of trailers for designated areas.
• Mentor new employees and acclimate them to Trail King
• Reads and interprets prints, specifications, manufacturing memos, engineering changes and job orders. Direct any questions that may arise to the shift supervisor.
• Performs stall inspection to ensure the trailer is completely functional and meets quality control standards.
• Operate overhead and jib cranes safely and proficiently.
• Follows all safety procedures and regulations.
• Provides training for the Safety Training Modules (STM’s) for new hires.
• Able to fill the role of Assistant Supervisor as needed.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed.

Candidate Requirements

Has performed proficiently and has adequate knowledge of designated area to successfully train other employees on the processes. Must have commendable work and attendance history. Must possess good verbal communication skills and ability to work with others. Must display a positive attitude and work ethic.

Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is required to stand; walk; sit; climb; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. At times, must use ladders to work at heights of up to 12 feet.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust, fumes and is near moving machinery.
