Thermcraft is a leading manufacturer of high-quality thermal processing equipment. We specialize in custom and standard industrial and laboratory furnaces, ovens, heating elements, and insulation.
The Welding Fabricator is responsible for the entire fabrication process, i.e., forming, drilling, bolting, fitting, and welding. The Welding Fabricator is responsible for providing a quality fabricated product for the next production operation.
Essential Functions:
Review of Fabrication Drawings, Specifications, and the Bill of Materials and parts to verify that their fit, form, and function meet the fabrication requirements.
Fabrication of furnace and cabinet enclosures, which involves shearing and bending of metal for the manufacturing of the furnace and/or control cabinet; conducting process dimensional quality checks to ensure fabrication accuracy; completing appropriate welding (MIG/TIG), cleaning of parts to construct the furnace shell and/or the control cabinet enclosure.
Inspection and General departmental job duties, which will include complete in-process Operator Quality Inspection and transport of the furnace to the next workstation.
Requirements
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand 8 to 10 hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds to chest level and carry the object a minimum of 10 feet; Ability to climb ladders and bend over to pick up materials; Ability to wear a dust mask or breathing respirator while performing all job tasks as needed.

Certifications
Alloy Engineering is a certified ASME Code Section I and Section VIII, Division I fabrication shop. Our welders are Certified AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX. Our staff includes two certified AWS-CWI inspectors, one AWS-SCWI inspector and two AWS-CWS supervisors. Several members of our Quality Assurance Department are also certified in various NDT (nondestructive testing) processes per ASNT SNT TC-1a.
With these certifications, Alloy Engineering can develop all necessary or required weld procedures, depending on the application, to produce the highest quality welded, fabricated product and certify 100% compliance.
