Job Location: Pawleys Island - Pawleys Island, SC 29585POSITION SUMMARY:
The YMCA of Coastal Carolina is a dynamic and rapidly growing association that seeks to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Welcome Center Representative is responsible for providing excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. They will respond to member and guest needs, promote memberships and programs, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby area. Must be bilingual (Spanish and English).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Membership Representative must have the competencies, skills and proven leadership ability to successfully carry out the YMCA mission, goals and vision for serving the community. Other important responsibilities include the following:
- Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
- Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
- Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
- Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
- May monitor the locker rooms as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
- Complete all required Redwoods trainings by their completion deadlines
- - Child Abuse Prevention supports the YMCAs commitment to child abuse prevention by Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
- - Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
- - Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
- - Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
