Reporting to the Program Manager, the Welcome Baby (WB) Family Connector is a professional position in the Family Engagement & Jewish Life Department. The WB Family Connector’s goal is to identify parents with children ages 0-2 who are looking for a connection to the Jewish community and to other new parents. This person will listen and learn about their needs, connect them with each other, provide relevant resources, and provide ongoing opportunities to build community.

Primary responsibilities include, and are not limited to:
1. Family Outreach & Relationship Building
Identify and connect with new parents (children ages 0-2) seeking community connection, and build ongoing relationships with them.
2. Program Facilitation & Community Building
Create and sustain regular touchpoints where families can connect with each other and with Jewish community life.
3. Program Administration & Operations
Maintain accurate program records, work within established business processes, and stay engaged with organizational supervision.

The pay rate offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications, experience, and JCC's internal equity.

Requirements
Education and Experience: BA/BS required and 2+ years in related field (family engagement, education, social work). Must have social media literacy, comfortable with Microsoft Outlook Office products and video conferencing platforms such as Zoom. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the JCC’s discretion to meet this minimum hiring criteria.
Skills and Abilities:
· Superb interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
· Experience working with families with young children and program planning preferred.
· Fluency with social media and on-line communication outlets.
· Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email and internet.
· Strong attention to detail, able to meet deadlines and follow up in a timely fashion.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as be part of a team.
· Able to represent the JCC in a professional manner at all times.
Physical Requirements:
· May include weekend and evening programmatic responsibilities.
· Able to travel to community events and family homes as needed.
· Able to pick up, lift and carry boxes of supplies of varying weight to and from venues when needed.
