Welcome Assistant
Welcome Assistants are responsible for monitoring the ED lobby and entrance area. They will greet all customers with a smile, assists with patient transport and visitors, keeps the lobby organized and clean. They will also work with ED staff to foster a positive customer experience.
Department: Patient Services
Hours: Per Diem, 16 hours a week required
Shift: 3rd shift; Friday & Saturday nights; 11:00pm to 7:00am - 16 hours per week
Required: High School Diploma
Pay: Based on experience, starting at $16.14
Responsibilities
Assists in the transport of patients., Basic computer skills, Cleans / sanitizes wheelchairs and works with Facilities Services to ensure the lobby area is kept clean at all times., Directs individuals to the appropriate area for assistance., Distributes comfort items as needed to individuals waiting to be treated in the Emergency Department., Greets all individuals coming into the Emergency Department using appropriate words that work., Helps facilitate the visitor process and works directly with the public., Responsible for lobby organization and stocking of wellness kiosk., Routinely rounds with patients waiting in the Emergency Department lobby., Works cooperatively with Emergency Department Registration and clinical staff to optimally serve customers.
