What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role

Planning, forecasting and performance analysis

• Support the annual budget, rolling forecast, multi-year plan and strategic projects using transparent, driver-based calculations.
• Investigate actual-versus-budget and forecast variances across revenue, margin, operating expense, customer activity and balance-sheet drivers.
• Model changes in pricing, volumes, product mix, funding costs, credit outcomes and operating assumptions to quantify financial impact.
• Conduct market and peer analysis to support product pricing, campaign design, cost efficiency and strategic planning.

Business decision support

• Develop concise management reports, dashboards and presentations that explain what changed, why it changed and what management should consider next.
• Work with business teams on product proposals, campaigns and projects, translating commercial assumptions into financial outcomes.
• Coordinate with Financial Control, Risk, Treasury and other teams to ensure consistent data and assumptions.
• Support capital planning, stress testing, ICAAP, ALCO materials and treasury-related analysis where required.

Data, controls and improvement

• Perform data checks, reconciliations and reasonableness reviews to maintain accuracy and confidence in FP&A outputs.
• Document key assumptions, model logic and data sources so analysis is transparent and auditable.
• Improve recurring reporting through automation, standard templates and effective use of data and visualisation tools.
• Take ownership of deliverables and manage priorities in a fast-moving environment.

• Models and reports are accurate, logically structured and easy for others to understand and review.
• Analysis identifies the real drivers of performance and supports clear recommendations.
• Business stakeholders receive responsive, practical finance support grounded in evidence.
• Recurring processes become faster, better controlled and more scalable over time.

What is required and what we’re looking for

• 5-7 years plus working experience in FP&A / Management Reporting / relevant areas
• Excellent in MS Office (Excel / PowerPoint)
• A team player with strong analytical mindset, good communication skills and risk awareness
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Cantonese
• Have an understanding of data sorting and analysis, and interested in how to apply those concepts towards building better and more profitable banking products.
• Dependable, strong attention to detail, and able to take on responsibility for own tasks.
• University degree in Data, Statistics, Finance, or related disciplines.
