YOUR ROLE

As a Warehouse Operative at our site in Barton under Needwood you will be part of a successful team who are committed to supporting a high-profile customer. This is a critical role within the operation and directly contributes towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and operation.

This is a weekend shift working Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00-18:00, you will be paid a salary of up to £20,385.21. This includes a 20% market rate supplement and an average of £1,800 in supplements/bonuses depending on performance, attendance and manual handling equipment usage.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE ROLE:

  • Temperature-controlled warehouse – comfortable working environment all year round.
  • Clean, tidy and well-organised operation with high standards and pride in the workplace.
  • Minimal manual lifting – the role is designed around safe handling practices and sensible lifting limits.
  • Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) available – MHE use is not required in all areas, and full training and support will be provided where needed.
  • Inclusive team culture – approximately 40% of our workforce is female, reflecting our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • No previous warehouse experience required – we hire for attitude and reliability and provide the training to help you succeed.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Unload vehicles, receipt and put away items
  • Pick orders, produce dispatch and carrier paperwork, and ensure this is logged onto the system where necessary
  • Load vehicles in accordance with delivery manifests
  • Liaise with Team Leaders to ensure work is allocated correctly
  • Maintain stock accuracy

There is no need for previous warehouse experience. Our ideal candidate will be:

  • A great team player but also able to work independently where required
  • Confident in communicating with colleagues and team leaders
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines and targets
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and maintaining high standards
