About the Role

The Security Officer delivers a high-touch, concierge-level security experience across Gap lnc.'s San Francisco Headquarters. Serving as frontline ambassadors of the Global Security organization, Officers ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional environment while protecting employees, visitors, executives, Board members, contractors, and assets. This role blends premium hospitality with disciplined physical security practices, including perimeter protection, access control, emergency response, and real-time coordination with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).

What You'll Do

  • OverseeandensurethesecurityofallassignedareaswithintheSanFranciscocorporate headquarters,maintainingaconsistently safe andsecure environment.

  • Managebuilding accessandsupport anefficient flowofemployees, contractors,andvisitorswhile enforcing security and access control protocols.

  • Inspect,monitor,andmaintainsecuritycompliance acrossentrypoints,lobbies,commonareas, stairwells, and perimeter locations.

  • Conduct regular interior andexterior patrolsto ensureperimeter integrity,identifysafetyhazards, and detect potential risks.

  • Operateandmonitorsecuritysystems,includingCCTV/VMS,accesscontrol,radiocommunications, and life-safety systems.

  • Coordinatewithemployees, visitors,contractors,andvendors,ensuringadherencetosecurity procedures and providing concierge-level service.

  • Issue,manage,andretrieveaccesscredentials,includingtemporarybadges andcontractorpasses.

  • Respondpromptlytoemergencies, alarms,andsecurityincidentsasthefirston-sceneresponder, ensuring proper escalation and communication.

  • CollaboratewiththeGSOCandexternalemergencyservices(fire,medical,lawenforcement) when incidents or emergencies require support.

  • Supporttheimplementationandreadinessofemergency procedures,includingevacuations, shelter-in-place, and other life-safety protocols.

  • Maintainaccuratelogs,documentation,andincident reportsinaccordance withGlobal Security standards.

  • Participateinongoingsecuritybriefings,postupdates,andteamtrainingsessionstomaintainsite readiness and awareness.

  • Conduct routinesafety,security,andsysteminspections to ensurecomplianceandidentifyimprovement opportunities.

  • Complete requiredrecurringtraining,drills,andonlinelearningcoursesto ensure compliance with security and life-safety standards.

MinimumQualifications

  • 3+yearsofsecurity,concierge,orhospitality experience inacorporateorhigh-securityenvironment.

  • Atleast21yearsofage.

  • Validdriver'slicenseandtheabilityto passamotorvehiclebackgroundcheck.

  • Mustsuccessfully complete aCritiCallcomputer-basedassessment duringthehiringprocess.

  • ExperiencewithCCTV/VMS,accesscontrolplatforms,radios,orother securitytechnologies. Ability to walk,stand,patrol multiple floors, and respond quickly to emergencies.

  • Abilitytopassacriminalbackground checkandmeetalllicensingrequirements.

PreferredQualifications

  • ExperienceinaSecurityOperationsCenter(GSOC/SOC).

  • CPR/AED/FirstAidcertification(AmericanRedCrosspreferred).

  • Traininginconflict resolution,de-escalation,orcustomerexperience.

  • ExperiencesupportingC-suite leaders,BoardofDirectors,orVIPclientele.
